Roberts Field – Redmond Airport (IATA: RDM, ICAO: KRDM, FAA LID: RDM) is located in Deschutes County, Oregon, United States. It is owned and operated by the city of Redmond and serves as the main commercial airport in Central Oregon. The airport offers nonstop scheduled passenger airline flights to several hubs in the western U.S. as well as seasonally to Chicago. It is the third largest commercial service airport in Oregon and supports commercial services by Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines. These carriers offer approximately 30 daily flights to various destinations such as Denver, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Portland, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and Seattle.

 

The airport's facilities include the Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center, Leading Edge Jet Center, Hillsboro Aero Academy, Redmond Air Center, and the U.S.D.A. The United States Forest Service (USFS) Redmond Air Center, located on the airport, supports regional firefighting operations with this federal facility providing training and housing for smokejumper teams along with fuel, water, and fire retardant for airtanker aircraft at its ramps along the north side of the field.

 

Roberts Field Airport is conveniently located about 1 mile southeast of REDMOND, OR, with an elevation of 3081.5 feet / 939.2 meters (surveyed). It features a variety of navigational aids and approach procedures, including a visual slope indicator, ILS OR LOC RWY 23, RNAV (RNP) Z RWY 05, RNAV (RNP) Z RWY 23, RNAV (GPS) RWY 11, among others. The airport is open to the public from 0400-2000 and has a single runway designated 11/29 with an asphalt surface measuring 5,260 by 100 feet (1,603 x 30 m).
