The other morning, I was in Sunriver. It was only twenty degrees, and it was just b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l.
I stated, as such, to the clients, smooth hard-bop jazz gently playing in the background, and they said “Yes, it is.”… “As long as you like snow.”
We all had a good laugh about it, as we cruised along at fifty miles per hour, over spots of ice and snow with patches of black ice, strong studded snow tires cackling below us.
The hour-long chauffeur service to the airport, which would only take forty-five minutes in the summer, was a friendly reminder that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
If you ask me, living in Central Oregon is a magical place, and it is beautiful to behold, all year round. But I can appreciate that it is only my personal perspective, and “to each his own” as the old saying goes.
To me, this view never gets old.
